I often choose black as colour/ tone of choice for daily wear, as it is:
4. Merges with my straight black hair
5. I don't stand out
Don't get me wrong, I am absolutely loving the bright colours of S/S shows such as Jil Sander, Gucci, Christopher Kane, Prada and pretty much everyone that showed last season. I am even trying to ween myself off the black stuff and introduce bold one colour pieces into my wardrobe. Breaking it in with a pair of black trousers or jacket and hoping to make it to the full block colour, head-to-toe look for when the sun finally decides to rear its sweaty head.
Though looking at the Giles collection from yesterday, it does remind me that you cannot go wrong with a full black look. The contrast in silks, leather, fur and wool is also a favourite of mine that I retire back to pretty much every year.
Oh God, it is so good, maybe one of my favourite collections so far. It is nothing new and way out, but wearable and so fu@*!ng hot. Always. Not just right now.
